Online Courses: Introduction
Successful completion of the European Online Academy will be dependant on the results obtained in written examinations and the participation in the workshops. Students who successfully complete their courses will receive a recognised certificate. Read here for more details on the requirements for obtaining the certificate. For the successful completion of the EOA programme 30 ECTS credits are awarded. For more information please click here. The European Online Academy expects students, young professionals and other participants to already have some background knowledge on the functioning of the EU and its policies (an introductory overview will be given for all courses.) The main focus will, therefore, be on updating the information on recent EU developments, and above all the processes of EU widening and deepening. The curriculum has been divided into three terms (trimesters):
The European Online Academy is not only virtual. The core curriculum will be provided online, but face-to-face learning at four "presence workshops" (in Rome, Prague, Brussels and Berlin). In this way face-to-face learning complements the e-learning progress. All module contents are dealing with relevant and up-to-date issues and go beyond "classic" lectures and seminars. The EOA hence offers an advanced and innovative way of teaching and studying EU-related issues. |
