Prof. Sandra Lavenex

Sandra Lavenex is professor for International Politics at the University of Lucerne in Switzerland and visiting professor at the College of Europe, Natolin Campus as well as the European Institute of the University of Basel. Before that, she was assistant professor for International Relations and European Integration at the University of Berne. She obtained her PhD from the European University Institute in Florence in 1999 for a thesis on the Europeanization of Refugee Policies. Her research focuses on the neighbourhood policies of the European Union, democracy promotion, and European                                         and international migration policies.
