The participation fee is 7200 euro for both years (each year 3600 euro). This amount covers course materials, the educational and technical support, the use of the special internet workspace and boarding and lodging during the workshops. Travel costs shall be paid by the participants.
Half of the fee must be paid in full before 30 September 2010 for the first academic year. The second part must be paid by 31 May 2011.
The European Online Academy (EOA) awards a 10% reduction for early bird application before 30 June 2010. This discount is only applicable on the entire fee of 3600 euro - meaning for those who are not requested a reduction of fee. Applicants who would like to have the advantage of the early bird reduction must pay by 31 July 2010.
A limited number of scholarships are available to reduce the financial burden of the course fees. The amount granted will depend on the individual student's financial situation.
Scholarships to cover the partial costs of tuition can be granted by different organisations, depending on the nationality of the applicant and other features.
In some countries candidates may obtain scholarships from their (ex)universities or from organisations such as, for example: Soros Foundation (for students from Central and Eastern Europe), D.A.A.D. (for German students), D.E.S (for British students), www.grants.at (for Austrian students), Rotary International Foundation, etc.
If you want to apply for a scholarship in these organisations, we recommend to check deadlines and application procedures carefully and thouroughly and to contact them directly.
The European Online Academy also recommends its students to contact national Foundations, national Ministries, regional and local authorities, international and national organisations and similar in order to find other forms of financial help.
Applicants who apply for a scholarship are asked to declare their eligibility for a scholarship in the application form and prove their eligibility by sending a copy of their tax assessment notice or any other comparable document by email (cife-berlin@cife.eu) or by fax (+49-30-86 00 840 20). Only on the basis of the declaration and the documents at hand the Selection Committee will be able to examine the eligibility of the applicant and to decide on the amount of the scholarship.
Participants to whom we grant a scholarship will be accomodated in a twin bed room during the workshops.
