Workload and ECTS according to the Bologna process

Overview of the ECTS credit distribution over the 2 years:

First year:
The credits awarded for the successful completion of the Executive Master programme are 60 ECTS – after a successful completion of the first year with 30 ECTS credits. This corresponds to a workload of 750 hours in total per academic year, calculated on the basis that one ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 working hours on average.

The courses and the EU simulation are valued at 3 ECTS each. That means each course, as with the simulation, corresponds to a workload of 75 hours. Participants need to be successful and be awarded a pass grade in order to receive the credits for the course concerned.

After the successful completion of the first year (30 ECTS) it is possible to continue with the second year and to achieve a Diploma Executive Master in EU Studies.

Second year:

In the improvement process of the second year of the programme, the facutly and staff are working on the modified distribution of ECTS credits. Details will be found here soon.
