Aims and concept of the EOA

What does the European Online-Academy offer?

You are daily...
... confronted by complex issues and questions of European integration and want to keep up with all current developments?

You are looking for an offer...
... to inform yourself about institutions, instruments, policies and procedures of European integration?

You need a direct benefit for your work...
... and are looking for information about strategies in international negotiation within intercultural context?

But you have not time ...
... to take part in seminars, lectures and workshops over a very long time and at a given place? You would prefer to combine the advantages of having a virtual workplace and some face-to-face-learning?

You want to have a certificate or a Master ...
... which confirms the acquired knowledge and abilities?

Then join the European Online Academy...

... is the right choice because we can meet these exact requirements.
After having taken part in the EOA you will get a certificate (one-year programme) or Master in EU Studies (two-year programme) of the
Jean-Monnet Chair for Political Science and European Affairs
University Cologne and CIFE (Nice).

In order to fulfil an ever increasing demand, the European Online Academy seeks to combine both elements: European integration and new media as a meeting point of colleagues and fellow students and a place of information resources on recent EU developments. The European Online Academy deals with issues relevant for the future of Europe and its citizens. The virtual workplace pulls resources from the web, processes resources into results and places them as new resources back into the web.

But the European Online Academy is not only virtual. It recognises the paramount importance of face to face learning. Through study sessions in Berlin, Prague, Brussels and Rome we shall create a physical as well as virtual intercultural workspace. The project involves recognised experts with academic and practical backgrounds as teachers, tutors and researchers. In order to learn more about the study programme please look at our curriculum.

The European Online Academy's working language is English.

The European Online Academy is organised with the financial support of the European Commission Lifelong Learning Programme JEAN MONNET.
